ISO9001: vs. 2000.
With a focus on the customer, Pertech is continuously committed to the quality of its products and services through of a Quality Assurance System certified by BVQI do Brasil Sociedade Certificadora Ltda., according to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, aiming at meeting the expectations and wishes of its customers. Therefore, Pertech’s guidelines are included below in its Quality Policy. Pertech, a laminate manufacturer, takes the following guidelines as the base for its Quality Administration System and its Health, Safety and Environment Administration System.

• Guiding its actions in order to meet the requirements of the users of its products and services, as well as suppliers, employees and shareholders;
• Fostering the continued improvement of its processes, meeting the legal requirements applicable;
• Preserving the environment in which it operates;
• Preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases.
  

SHE
Labor safety, occupational health and respect to the environment are Pertech’s principles, and since 1993 they have been integrated into the company’s activity management system through the SHE program (Safety, Health and Environment).
The program’s objective is to defend and promote life quality preservation through several actions and investments. These are some of them:

• Affluent treatment station with biological system, in conformity with environmental requirements, and as a part of the River project;
• Installation of an incinerator for burning gas emissions;
• Replacement of the cooling system gases which affect the ozone layer by “ecological” gases; 
• Planting a green belt within the limits of the manufacturing facilities;
• Recomposition of the riparian forest formed by native trees of the region planted in the border of the stream;
• Installation of noise attenuation devices for the hearing comfort of the employees and the surrounding community;
• Maintenance of an internal fire brigade formed by voluntary employees;
• Health medical clinic. First aid, audiometric tests, prevention of diseases and alternative therapies (therapeutic massage, chromotherapy and acupuncture) for reducing the effects of occupational pathologies.

GOOD DAY WITH SAFETY
Weekly newsletter intended to provide the employees with information about safety, health and environmental issues, besides strengthening the communication between the management and the co-workers.

ALMOST ACCIDENT
A program which encourages the communication and reporting of all potentially hazardous situations occurred in order to eliminate the possibility of accidents.

The objective of this program is to raise consciousness about improving the organization and cleanliness of the worksite, as well as waste management. The 5S is, above all, a re-education process whose intent is to improve life quality in the environment in which we live.
